Events / Projects / Fundraising     Events for 2010    Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 8:00am - 12:00pm is a park clean up day from the flood. Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 8:00am - 12:00pm is a park clean up day from the flood. There will be a variety of tasks to complete which will include something for everyone of all skill levels to help restore the park after the 2010 flooding.  Please RSVP by phoning the park office at (712) 642-2069 or email wilson_island@dnr.iowa.gov.    Projects Calendar - The Friends group is going to be putting together a calendar for 2010 with pictures of Wilson Island.  We are currently gathering photos of Wilson Island to put in the calendar.  If you have any pictures of camping trips, wildlife or scenic photos taken at the park and would like to have them considered for the calendar, please send them to:                                                 Friends Of Wilson Island                         PO Box 294                         Missouri Valley, IA  51555     Fundraising Recycling cans - We are currently recycling aluminum cans in the park.  If you have aluminum cans that you would like to donate to the Friends group, please drop them off at the park.   T-Shirts - We have Friends Of Wilson Island T-shirts available to purchase at the park office.  The cost per t-shirt is $15.00.
